Basics of Gait Analysis
Inhalt: For the treatment of foot problems, it is often useful to analyze the patient's gait pattern or running style. In the seminar, the basics of motion analysis will be explained. The focus will be on those parameters that are relevant for practical care.

Über den Referenten: Kelly Robb has been practicing as a pedorthist since 2009. She is currently completing her PhD studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, in Waterloo, ON. Current research focuses on the connection between neuromechanics, mechanoreceptor facilitation, lower limb muscular activity and foot orthotics. Kelly’s long term goals are directed towards improving clinical practice and evidence-based treatment options for neuromuscular diseases. Kelly Robb is the current president of the Pedorthic Association of Canada. Michael Ryan is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. He is a global leader in the role of footwear and injury risk in runners. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in top journals in the fields of sports medicine, orthopedics and biomechanics. He is also Head of Product and Innovation at "Kintec Footwear + Orthotics".
